Enclosure: COVID‐19 Risk Management Plan ‐ Checklist, White Oaks Aligned

White Oaks Aligned, an open letter from CEO Jonathan Kelly.

Dear Friends and Partners,

As the CEO of White Oaks Aligned, I must state plainly and firmly that racism in any form is unacceptable, and that black lives matter.

I’ve been searching for the right words, wanting to say something that would inspire and serve to convey the principles I built this business on, the standards I live by. These past weeks, like so many of you, I’ve watched events unfold with a deep sense of sadness and concern, and questioning what I can do as I watch tragedy shape narratives in the very cities and communities we call home. I am deeply concerned about the state of racial inequality and social injustice in America, and it must end. It certainly has no place in our organization.

The challenges presented this year have forced us all to adapt in ways that promote cooperative safety and health. We’ve had to work hard to find and implement solutions to problems that have crippled many industries, and we must continue to remain unified in our response to what’s happening now.

I refuse to look away as I see what’s happening, systemic inequality is tearing our cities and our communities apart. The racial divides that exist and the wounds that have never healed are not random or someone else's problem; they are the result of inequality and opportunity withheld and it is our responsibility and duty to address this. I believe that we, together with advocates and partners, as leaders and individuals in our industry, we must put our resources and energy toward helping end systemic racism. We don’t have all the answers, I know this. But I believe that together, and with the voices and views of all those in our industry and our communities - we can find solutions.

I feel great pride in our accomplishments in creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, however, there is still much to do. I am exploring additional ways we can incorporate solutions that promote diversity, equality and inclusivity. We will continue to identify and advance partnerships that value equality. We will renew mandatory diversity and inclusion training. We are reviewing all internal policies and procedures, as well as documents and processes. White Oaks Aligned as a firm may be a small business, but we are hundreds of voices strong together and I’d like to hear from you and hear your stories and ideas. We must all be advocates in this effort and there are leaders everywhere ready to rise, and with your help I know we can make a difference - together.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Kelly, CEO
